Problems

Homework problems should address one or more of the key concepts in the chapter. Problems, as much as possible, should allow students to integrate biomechanics context (i.e., "why do we care about this topic?"), concepts (i.e. "how would I summarize the approach to this problem?"), and calculations (i.e. "what is the moment generated by Hans during the Torque-off?"). Aim for questions that need 5 - 60 minutes to solve. Some comments about the question- and solution-writing process are below.

1.1 Writing clearing questions 

Why might the following not be a successful question: "How do we study movement?"? Suggest a rephrasing that makes the question clearer to the student.
