11.1 Analyzing wearable robotic assistance
This exercise will let you use OpenSim to design and evaluate devices to assist locomotion. You will work with a simplified model of the musculoskeletal system and a simulation of a typical, unloaded gait. You will learn how to generate muscle-driven simulations with and without simple passive and active assistive devices and analyze how these devices affect the metabolic cost of walking.
